Overview
From problem framing to a resolved design.
TADIG began as an experiment in taking a product from idea to market with a very limited starting budget. The design criteria called for an environmentally friendly material, a simple production process, gift-ready packaging, and a visual language connected to Persian culture.
The brand started in 2013 with a small range and hand printing. Over time it expanded through collaborations with Iranian illustrators and screen-printing specialists, broader retail distribution, and a much larger catalog of forms, patterns, colors, and uses.
Design criteria
The concept balanced cultural expression with practical constraints: eco-conscious material selection, low-cost startup, simple manufacturing, attractive gifting, fair-trade thinking, and everyday usefulness.
Pattern, material and collaboration
Cork became the base material for trays, placemats, trivets and related objects. Persian-inspired patterns evolved into collaborations with illustrators, including character-based graphics and production partnerships with screen-printing specialists.
Packaging and growth
Packaging was developed to make the product visible, easy to handle, recyclable and economical. The project grew from hand-made batches into a broad product family sold through retail stores in Iran.
